Cook County Hospital, c.1884, Chicago. Filling the block of Lincoln, Harrison, Polk and Wood streets, this facility was state-of-the-art and the absolute best medical care any person could receive at the time.
This is the first picture I’ve ever seen of the old old Cook County Hospital. I love how the grounds looked back then.
