My Takeaways From the Oscar Nominations
1). I haven’t seen the films, but it’s pretty awesome that Gary Oldman was nominated for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, the film Hugo was nominated and Melissa McCarthy received a nomination for Bridesmaids.
2). Uggie didn’t get a nomination.
3). The Oscar presenters have a little more than a month to get really good at saying “Michel Hazanavicius.”
4). The obligatory “How did this happen?” from the nominations is that Kung Fu Panda 2 received a nomination for Best Animated Feature while The Adventures of Tintin did not.
