The too fast and too frivolous Twitter-ized media world needs a new hero more often than a polar bear needs bearded seal meat (look it up).

We love. We find flaws in the things we love. Our eyes drift toward something shiny. We move on.

Remember Charlie Sheen? Me neither. Yet at the time, it seemed like all that mattered in the entire world was Sheen’s next tweet.
